Faculty of Education signs MoU with involved Schools in Prishtina
The Faculty of Education initiate the cooperation with the schools of Pristina in the field of digital competence and STEAM
The Faculty of Education has signed a memorandum of understanding with involved Schools in Pristina for the implementation of activities as part of the projects “The impact of technology on teaching and learning in STEM fields” led by the faculty. Partner schools in these projects are: Xhemajl Mustafa, Elena Gjika, Faik Konica, and Meto Bajraktari.
The project is financed by MESTI, VAR4STEM.net, through which teachers will benefit from training on the integration of VR (Virtual reality) and AR (Augmented reality) technology in STEM fields.
The Dean of the Faculty, Blerim Saqipi, said that such projects aim to help teachers in the service, and to create conditions within the classrooms to integrate technology in support of enhancing the quality teaching process, while as an idea it comes within the faculty’s initiatives for the transformation of teaching paradigm towards the development of teachers who apply technology in learning and develop a more extended professional approach to the tasks of the profession.
The directors of the involved schools expressed their willingness to cooperate with the faculty in these innovative ideas which will also have an impact on the pre-university education system as the prerequisites for the development of quality teaching in classrooms are created in line with the current trends of teaching reform.
The development of digital competence is one of the priority areas that are being addressed by the Faculty of Education, together with the development of the integrated learning approach (STEAM approach), value added education and the advanced approach of personalized learning.
